If you’re writing plenty already, and cranking out the pages on your own – bless you! You are a rare bird. If you’re like the rest of us, you’re not writing nearly as much as you know you should.
Ask yourself…
Is it worth an hour a week to get yourself motivated? Inspired? Focused? Productive? Prolific?
Two hours?
Think of WordSprints as a gym for writers. A place where writers meet to write, with no mention of “crossfit”.
Put some skin in the game and take things up a notch. Join us.
Who should join WordSprints?
You! WordSprints is for you if:
- You think of yourself as a writer, but you don’t write enough to feel like one.
- You talk about writing but don’t write (enough).
- You tweet about writing but don’t write (enough).
- You hang out in online writers rooms, but don’t write (enough).
- Your friends think of you as a writer, but you don’t write (enough).
- When people call you a writer, you feel like an imposter.
- You have great writing intentions, but never seem to get around to them.
- You have plenty of great ideas, but haven’t written them down. Or, you’ve written them down but haven’t developed them.
- You often plan to write “later.” Later rarely comes.
- You tell yourself you’re “too busy” to write.
- You have great ideas and just need some traction.
- You are thrilled by the idea of having some pages actually written.
- You just need a little help, a little discipline, to incorporate a writing habit.
- You write plenty. Really. You’re thrilled by your output. But you would love some like-minded company.
- You are distracted by shiny things…oh, the shiny things.
How does it work?
Simple.
Take a look at our writing calendar. Mark yours in advance with a session that works for you – your writing deserves that at least – and drop in at the designated time. We’ll be there, writing away, and we will welcome you with open arms. You’ll work on your own project on your own computer (or in your own notebook) and know you have a posse, a tribe, a community all doing the same, right along with you.
We will also celebrate you and acknowledge you and support you in stepping up on behalf of your dream to live the writing life, because that’s what we’re doing, and we like it.
At WordSprints, we promise you one thing: we’ll be there for you, when you plan to write.
You’re a writer. Come write with us.
